A bespoke, energy-efficient three-bedroom house in Scotland, designed for a steep, narrow site with stunning Tay Firth views.
This New Build House in Fife was commissioned by our Client who was relocating to Scotland. She wanted to build a new three-bedroom house in the grounds of a large garden belonging to her daughter. The site was narrow and steeply sloping but had fantastic views over the Tay Firth.
We created a house which is intended to be future proofed for any changing requirements of the owner. Most of the accommodation is on the main entrance level, with a further two bedrooms tucked underneath. Future accessibility is also maintained via wider doorways, level thresholds and a flexible open plan room layout.
The house is highly energy efficient with superinsulation to roof, walls and floors and high performance glazing. Space and hot water heating is all run from an air source heat pump. Energy for the heat pump comes from roof mounted photovoltaic panels.
