This Edinburgh refurbishment transformed a previously unloved three-bedroom flat for a Client with impaired sight and mobility.
Alteration and Refurbishment in Edinburgh’s Stockbridge.
The project involved the full refurbishment of a historic B-Listed three bedroom flat in Stockbridge to create a calm and attractive home with improved accessibility.
The property had been used as a rental property for many years and looked tired and uncared for, with an awkward layout. The kitchen was moved into a larger room to create a generous kitchen dining room. An elegant accessible shower room was created in addition to the light and airy bathroom.
What was originally very uneven flooring was levelled to create a level access with no trip hazards for our Client. The existing windows were double glazed and overhauled to improve energy efficiency and sound proofing.
A large part of the project was the installation of modern bespoke oak furniture which contrasted beautifully with the remaining historic features of the property.
