This renovation of a city centre flat created a sunlit kitchen/ living/ dining area, with updated bedrooms and bathrooms for a modern family home.
The owners of this Edinburgh flat recognised that there was great potential to make their flat work better for how they lived. It was reconfigured to create a south facing kitchen/ living/ dining space with a large opening formed to connect the living room and relocated kitchen. A strong central axis runs from the fireplace through the kitchen island to the range cooker. Bedrooms and bathrooms were also refurbished to make a generous family home suited to modern life. The internal finishes and lighting were the result of a close collaboration with the Client. This Edinburgh flat renovation was winner of Best of Houzz 2023 (Living Rooms) and shortlisted for the Edinburgh Architectural Association Awards 2021.
